After the great creative and commercial success of OVERLORD (the first “next gen” game to come out of The Netherlands), Triumph is now looking to expand its development team to work on new exciting products.

Senior Environment Artist

Triumph Studios is seeking a highly creative and talented Senior Environment Artist to work on its up coming high-profile action game (Xbox 360/PS3/PC). You know how to great looking magical landscapes. You work closely with level designers to create the best player experience possible. Next to being true craftsman and architect yourself, you have ability to motivate and guide others. Duties include guiding our outsourcing partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Create models and textures for next-gen, 3D interior and exterior environments within a great fantasy style.
  • Adhere to the defined style guide and technical limitations.
  • Be creative and anticipate needs from the team.
  • Manage environmental content outsourced at our development partners. Approve and Decline Milestones.
  • Assist in establishing deadlines and report progress and difficulties to management.
  • Work with the designers and programmers to make the level playable and enjoyable.
  • Be meticulous and organized in the approach to task and file management.

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of games industry experience.
  • Provide an extensive Portfolio displaying your skills in architectural/landscape design, art and lighting. Your work matches or exceeds “Next Gen” production levels.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be enthusiastic and ready to take on challenges.
  • Understand the aesthetics of environment and know to balance function vs. form.
  • As a true gamer, you know what makes a game level fun and intriguing.
  • Strong Communicative and Directive Skills. Work well in a team spanning internal and external artists, designers and programmers.
  • Plusses: experience with Maya.

  • Strong Communicative and Directive Skills. Work well in a team spanning internal and external artists, designers and programmers.
  • Plusses: Animation and/or rigging skills experience with Maya.

Internship Positions

At the start of each semester Triumph Studios offers students a chance to join the development team and gain industry experience first-hand.

Requirements

  • Positions are available for 2D & 3D graphic artists, or assistant designers. Only in exceptional cases do we have positions for programmers.
  • Provide an extensive portfolio. Impress us with your work!
  • You must be a hardcore gamer. People who have worked on game Mods/hobby projects have an advantage.
  • Internships have a minimum duration of 6 months.
  • Internships at Triumph are paid positions, but we expect you to be productive!
  • Interns must be residents of The Netherlands.
