(experienced) Level Designer
Triumph Studios is looking to expand their team with an experienced level designer.
As a Level designer your job is to create exciting environments for a game involving genre-breaking gameplay. You will be working closely with environmental artists and the game designer to conceptualize, test-bed, build, test and tweak levels that provide a captivating experience for the player.
Responsibilities:
- Layout and plan 3D environments working with conceptual and environmental artists.
- Compile documentation containing level challenges, storyline and asset lists.
- Test bed level concepts using Level Design Tools.
- Script quests and story events.
- Work closely with Environment and Concept Artists to create beautiful environments.
- Optimize levels for flow and performance.
- Work with Game designer and QA to fine-tune game mechanics.
Requirements:
- Hardcore game player, at home in a wide variety of genres on Console and PC.
- Team player, with excellent communicative skills.
- Highly Structured and Analytical personality.
- Must know about the different phases of game development.
- 2+ years games industry experience.
- Strong Scripting and Writing Skills.
- Accept and provide direction.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Portfolio must include level layouts, documentation and movies/screenshots of your work in action.
- 2D/3D Art skills are a plus.

Internship Positions
At the start of each semester Triumph Studios offers students a chance to join the development team and gain industry experience first-hand.
Requirements
- Positions are available for 2D & 3D graphic artists, or assistant designers. Only in exceptional cases do we have positions for programmers.
- Provide an extensive portfolio. Impress us with your work!
- You must be a hardcore gamer. People who have worked on game Mods/hobby projects have an advantage.
- Internships have a minimum duration of 6 months.
- Internships at Triumph are paid positions, but we expect you to be productive!
- Interns must be residents of The Netherlands.
